Around 1000 m²

Above 1000 m² charge time matters as much as navigation. We do not invent minutes: read the Amazon product page.

Updated 2026-09-12 · Ruben Torney

On 1000 m² no robot mows in a single charge. It runs cycles: mow, return to dock, charge, resume. Total time depends directly on battery capacity and charge rate.

Charge time is rarely published

Many product pages omit charge time or bury it in a packaging image. The figure lives in the maker's manual. We do not reconstruct it or estimate it from battery capacity.

Navigation on large lawns

Above 1000 m² navigation becomes structural. RTK with a reference antenna covers large open areas but needs satellite view. LiDAR maps without an antenna but needs visible features.

FAQ

Which mower for 1000 m²?

At least a 1000 m² rating, ideally 1500 m² on a split or tree-heavy plot.

Can a robot mow 1000 m² in one charge?

Rarely. Most run cycles and return to the dock.

Where do I find charge time?

In the maker's manual. Marketplace product pages often omit it.

LiDAR or RTK at 1000 m²?

Both work. RTK covers large open areas; LiDAR avoids the antenna.

Is a fast charging station worth it?

A real comfort above 1000 m² because it cuts downtime between cycles.
