The area printed on a box is a maker claim under favourable conditions. It says nothing about your real garden with trees, beds, slope and separate zones. The first step is therefore to measure your lawn, not to read the box.
Measure the lawn, not the plot
The figure that matters is the area actually mowed: subtract terrace, paths, beds and buildings. That number sets the size class.
Leave headroom
Aim for a model rated at roughly twice that figure. The margin absorbs obstacles, slope and splitting.

Depending on your result: small lawn, around 500 m², around 1000 m².
